This is a quiet unspoiled rural area (off the Tourist Trail!) overlooking the village of Cooraclare and rural countryside with quiet riding pony and goats in field in front of house.

The area is ideal for walking roads, tracks, bogs, cliffs along coast and deserted beaches as well as for cycling along the many back roads with only little other traffic. It is also ideal for discovering castles, ruins, archaeological sites, old churches, holy wells and ancient graveyards. A ringfort is just a few meters away and well visible from the property.

This part of West Clare is noted for its traditional music and dance - impromptu seisiuns are held regularly throughout the year. The local pubs offer good Guinness and chat. A number of good restaurants in the area offer excellent Irish kitchen and serve good seafood.

This former Priests's house (not Father Ted's!) from 1872 with stables and outhouses was bought in 1986 by Alyson & Sean  and renovated  all by themselves.

The stables were converted into self-catering cottages, all Alyson's and Sean's own design and work, with stone floors, wood beams and fireplaces. All cottages are in traditional Irish style with old artifacts & antiques.

A field in front of the houses is playground for  dogs, horses and goats. A tranquil garden with a lot of green is surrounding the property. Old Parochial House is a great place to escape the frenesis of the city, to switch off - go for walks or to the beach, do discover the beautiful local scenery.

The Stables have been converted into 1- and 2-bedroom Cottages  - well furnished and equipped.
